DU BEI MIR TRILOGY, 2016-21
Du bei mir (You by me) is a trilogy of films on faith, each film describs an aspect of the intimate and trusting relationship a person may develope with spirituality or metaphisics. The three films are esthetically different one from the other, using different filmic techiques and narrations.
Du bei mir - Part I (2016-17) is a sequence shot and explores self-mortification, it shows a man doing a downfall during a cold and stormy night. Du bei mir - Part II (2018-19) is a stop-motion animation and focuses on the afterworld, about the jump into an unknown dimention. Du bei mir - Part III (2020-21) is a narrative short film and it is about the interpretation of shapes and signs. How to attribute a transcendental value to a "earthly" shape.
